Information Science
MSIS Degree overview
In the spring of 2022, I graduated with my Master of science in information science from the University of Tennessee. during my time in the program, I studied archive and records management, collection development and stewardship, academic and digital librarianship, and a bit of web design.
in my classes, I was drawn to and focused on the importance of archives, archival research, and art education in developing a well-rounded public consciousness. at their core, these concepts expand on the critical thinking skills and information literacy of the general public, and how inequitable access to these institutions, information, and education impacts our current political culture and public attitudes.
